3D Printing

The Georgetown Public Library hosts a Lulzbot 3D Printer provided by the Delaware Division of Libraries for public use.  The 3D Printer prints 3-dimensional objects using co-polyester filament. It supports classroom assignments and personal creativity. SketchUp and Blender are available on the computers in the library to design objects. Both pieces of software are free, and may be installed on your home computer. Models may also be downloaded from MakerBot Thingiverse. Please preview your model in Cura before submitting. At this time, there are no charges for 3D printing.

With its open filament system the LulzBot Mini has nearly unlimited potential for new materials. The LulzBot All-Metal Hot End heats up to 300°C (572°F) and the bed heats up to 120°C (248°F), meaning the printer can heat up to temperatures required for industrial-grade materials.
