We will be closing our library (10 West Pine Street) at the end of the day on May 29, 2010. We will reopen at our new library location (123 West Pine Street) in mid July, 2010. During the time, we are closed the Bookmobile will be making some extra stops in Georgetown or you may use your library card at any of the public libraries in Sussex or Kent county.
The library board is renting a moving truck to transport items to the new library. We will begin work at 8 a.m. on Saturday, June 26. We hope to finish by 4 p.m. or sooner. This opportunity to help is for people who can lift heavy items. We have crates and boxes of books and many other things that will be loaded in and out of the truck. All volunteers will be required to sign a liability waiver. Lunch and water will be provided. Use the contact us form on the website to let us know if you are able to help on Saturday, June 26th.

If you can not lift heavy items, we will be contacting people at a later date with other volunteer opportunities.
