Library Fundraising Events
The Friends of the Georgetown Public Library hold several fundraising events each year:
- The Brick Club is $125 for an honor or memorial brick to be placed on the library walkway. Forms are available at the library or go to http://www.georgetownpubliclibrary.org/support-your-library/friends-of-the-library/2-uncategorised/54-donate-a-brick-form.html .
- The 15 Annual 5k race/walk will be held on June 14, 2019. Runners and walkers pay an entry fee. If you pre-register for the race by June 12, the fee is $22. Day of Race registration is $25. The race fee is $10 for children 12 years and younger. Register online at the Seashore Striders website. Business sponsorships are also available for the race. - Book sales are held twice a year. The 2019 Book Sales: Spring Book Sale will be March 2020; Fall Book Sale will be October 9-12. On Wednesday evening the book sale is open to current Friends members only. On Thursday, Friday, and Saturday the book sale will be open to everyone during library hours.
- The Fall Gala and Auction will be held on November 2, 2019. There will be a Live and Silent Auction, delicious food, and lots of fun!
