  • AARP Smart Driver Refresher Course
    When: Tuesday, May 30, 2017 - 10:30 AM - 2:30 PM
    Where: Georgetown Public Library at Meeting Room A

    The AARP Smart Driver Course, offered by AARP Driver Safety, is the nation's largest classroom and online driver safety course and is designed especially for drivers age 50 and older.

    This is the refresher course. Prerequisite: 6 hour Basic Driver Course.

    Come study, work on group projects, or take a break and play a board game. You may bring a small snack and drink containers that have a lid. Open Study will be every Tuesday from 3 to 5 p.m.

    Do you have a criminal record? If you have ever been arrested, even if you were never found guilty, you may have a criminal record. The APEX program is dedicated to opening opportunities to individuals with criminal histories by helping them through the pardon or expungement process. If you are eligible, APEX volunteers will provide 1-on-1 assistance through each step of your application.

    To Qualify for the APEX Program:
    • You must have charges in the state of Delaware
    • In most cases, it must be at least 3 years since you were last arrested, in jail or prison, or on probation or parole.

    This class will cover the various ways of saving money for short and long term goals. Topics covered include debt reduction, goal setting, and understanding why we struggle to save money. No registration is necessary.

The Way Home Program will provide interviews and business Attire: Look great for your interview with business attire, includes new & gently used shoes, handbags and personal hygiene products. . Job Referrals: After 6 to 8 weeks of workshops IHS will provide job referrals and help you set up scheduled interviews.
