Volunteering at the Libray
The Georgetown Public Library supports the utilization of qualified volunteers for the benefit of the Library System within a structured program to supplement the work of paid staff.
I. Volunteer Requirements
A volunteer must be at least 14 years old. A volunteer application form must be completed. Forms are available at the library. Interviews and training will be conducted prior to assignment to volunteer duties. Background checks will be required for volunteers wanting to work with children. The volunteer would be responsible for any cost associated with a background check.
II. Job Descriptions
The library will provide detailed job descriptions to accurately describe volunteer duties and requirements for the positions.
