Friends of the Library
The Friends of the Georgetown Public Library (FGPL) is a non-profit organization that creates awareness of the Georgetown Public Library and the services it offers.
The Friends have raised over $720,000 to date toward the construction of the new library building. Fundraising efforts have included a tribute dinner, the annual 5k run / walk, sales of book bags, soap, and wooden models of the library, and memorial bricks.
The Friends' yearly dues are $1 for a student membership, $5 for an individual membership, $10 for a family membership, and $25 or above for a benefactor membership. The membership year runs from May 1 through April 30 of the next year.
