Bookmobile
The following Bookmobile regulations were gathered from the Sussex County Department of Libraries. Visit the Sussex County Bookmobile website for more detailed information.
Library Card Application
- Applications for cards may be made on the Bookmobile or at any public library in Sussex County.
- Your library card may be used on the Bookmobile and at all public libraries in Sussex County.
- Children under 18 must have a parent signature on application card.
- An official photo identification card with current address or photo identification with proof of current address must be presented to receive a library card.
- Library cards are free for all residents and non-resident property owners.
- Library cards are available to non residents for a small annual fee ($15.00).
Borrowing Materials
- Materials checked out from the Bookmobile are loaned for two weeks.
- Material requests may be given to Bookmobile staff.
- Material not currently aboard the Bookmobile may be requested, placed on hold, and brought to the stop on a future visit.
Renewing Materials
Materials may be renewed on the Bookmobile, at a public library, by calling 381-3582 (Bookmobile cell phone), or online.
Returning Materials
- When the Bookmobile is off the road, all materials will be due when the Bookmobile makes its next scheduled visit.
- Materials may be returned to any public library in Sussex County.
- Materials borrowed from a public library in Sussex County may be returned to the Bookmobile.
Fees and Fines
- Bookmobile services are free to all residents of Sussex County.
- Annual non-resident non property owners - $15.00 per year
- Replacement fee for lost cards is $1.00.
- Overdue fines are:
- Print Material - $0.10 per day
- (Books, Paperbacks, Magazines, Books On Tape, Vertical File Materials)
- Audio / Visual Material - $1.00 per day
- (Computer Files, Video Cassettes, & DVDs)
- Equipment, Electronics - $ 2.00 per day
